Following the addition of a further 1,000 sq metres in Spring 2017, the modern PP C&A manufacturing facility now comprises over 5,500 sq m².
Investments of over £1 million in the latest automation for cable preparation, £250,000 in ‘world first’ crimping technology and over £100,000 into creating an Electrostatic Discharge manufacturing facility, enables the business to offer unparalleled levels of quality for electrical inter-connectivity, electrical control, automation and assembly and the associated disciplines for the provision of a full outsourcing solution for OEMs and machine builders.

An in-house training school was founded at the start of the millennium and the company has invested a significant amount of time developing its training processes, in both the technical requirements and the tools required for continuous improvement.

The book explains the business values and purpose and is designed to encourage individuals to help the business do things better. PP C&A has an active apprenticeship program and work closely with a number of schools and colleges in promoting exciting engineering and manufacturing career opportunities. There is immense pride in what apprentices are achieving at the company, gaining national recognition at various awards.
In a bid to inspire more young people into engineering, PP C&A support WorldSkills UK where the company has arranged and judged specific industry challenges. Apprentices, work trainees, university students and graduates participate in the challenges over 3 exhibition days in Birmingham, where they get an opportunity to try their hand at a range of work-based skills.

PP C&A can now process cables at over 5 metres per second, which means it is now 20% faster, whilst still maintaining the same accuracy.
This Artos CRX33-GVM investment is PP C&A’s latest commitment to automation and underlines the importance it plays in making manufacturing processes as productive as possible.
PP C&A recorded a record year in 2019 after increasing annual sales to £26m – just 12 months on from attracting investment from Ardenton Capital.
With renewed financial backing from the Canadian-based investor, PP C&A is now exploring the possibility of future acquisitions and a joint venture to establish a manufacturing footprint in North America.
