When Saint Are crossed the finishing post in second place at the recent Grand National there was an extra special cheer in Cheslyn Hay, the home of PP Electrical Systems.
The nine-year old gelding is owned by Chairman David Fox and stunned the bookmakers with an impressive performance that belittled his starting price of 33/1.
It was the best result of the horse’s career and made a few employees, business partners and media contacts happy punters at 4.25pm on Saturday April 11th.
A delighted David Fox commented: “It was an amazing day. You always feel like you have a chance but never expect to finish second in arguably the biggest horse race in the world.
“After finishing ninth two years ago, we knew we had a chance because Saint Are can jump the huge fences and the distance was never an issue.”
He concluded: “Saint Are is a fantastic horse and we will aim to come back next year and take the main prize.”
