Cyber Security in Business – It’s time to understand what you’re up against
2018 is the year to take Cyber Security seriously. As we explained in our first post on the subject, Cyber Security: How to prevent a Catastrophic Attack, businesses are more vulnerable than ever to hacking and cyber terror. In 2016, an uncomfortable 65% of major UK businesses had security breaches. As technology and automation advance, so does the malicious intent of online criminals. A few hours of work can cost you hundreds if not thousands of pounds, as well as crucial, confidential data. The only way we can properly combat this is to understand what we’re up against, and use our knowledge to come up with the best course of action.
Fortunately, there are ample opportunities for business owners to understand cyber-attacks and how they might be targeted. Now is the time to take this situation seriously, and there are active steps you can take to keep your business from harm.
There’s no need to toil around the internet for answers. In conjunction with Cyber Security experts Phoenix Contact, PP Control & Automation are hosting a seminar to demonstrate the ease of initiating a cyber-attack, and how you can start to take action against them.
The event will be taking place on Tuesday the 5th of December, at PP’s office in Walsall. It’s only a couple of hours long, starting at 8.30am and including a break for breakfast. The event is free for all, so there’s no better time to get to grips with Cyber Security.
