PP Electrical targets growth after joining the MTA

PP Electrical Systems is delighted to announce it has joined the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), which represents advanced engineering in the UK.

The company, which offers control and automation systems, is looking to build on its presence in the complex machinery sector where it currently supplies thirteen of the world’s leading manufacturers.

Managing Director Tony Hague believes membership of the MTA will help raise the profile of the West Midlands business, as well as giving it the ability to lobby Government for greater support for UK manufacturers.

“The MTA is a really progressive association and we are looking to use its range of marketing services and lobbying activities to boost our business,” explained Tony.

“The vision of James Selka, the newly appointed CEO of the MTA, is very much aligned to our own beliefs and values.

“Skills is a major issue for most manufacturers and we are no different. We will support the MTA and its members to help raise awareness of the exciting opportunities that exist in engineering.

“This was recently highlighted when our own apprentice engineer, Scott Gullick, was awarded the MTA Young Engineer of the Year Award.”

He concluded: “We want to play an active role in the Association and give something back to the sector so will hopefully be helping it with designing surveys, offering factory tours and providing training services.”

Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant concept for manufacturers. Very rarely does growth not surface because an OEM lacks ambition. Shortcomings arise because operating models built to support such ambition don’t evolve quickly enough.
