In 2025, UK businesses are poised to undergo significant transformations driven by advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and a heightened focus on sustainability. Tony Hague, CEO of PP Control & Automation, anticipates that AI and automation will expedite innovation across various industries, streamlining product and service development.
He emphasises that sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) will become pivotal competitive advantages, aligning with increasing consumer and regulatory demands for environmental and social governance. The emergence of Generation Z in the workforce is expected to infuse fresh perspectives and digital proficiency into the business landscape. To navigate economic challenges, including rising operational costs due to increased National Insurance Contributions, companies plan to invest in employee productivity, upskilling, and apprenticeships.
